I hope a sequel comes out because I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to see more. So being able to relate to Laurelin’s heart while also relating to her need to learn to say “no”, was something that truly captured my heart in this one. And learning how to not only put up boundaries but enforce them, is often admittedly a struggle. While I can’t relate to Laurelin’s story as a whole, I CAN relate as someone who is often willing to help others to the cost of myself. And also forced her to understand the importance of boundaries. I liked that even though Laurelin’s ultimate goal was to help her brother, there were other things thrown at her throughout that continued to challenge her heart and her mission. The characters were well developed and the events throughout not only kept the plot moving forward and the pages turning, but gripped my heart even tighter to Laurelin’s plight.
